The Yardstick has their own installers, not outside contractors. Their installers are professional and insured (CSLIB #903405) serving the greater San Jose, South Bay area, lower East Bay area, and peninsula. We understand that your home is important to you, and our employees are trained to treat your house with respect and utmost professionalism. Any issues, should they occur, are handled as promptly as possible. Customer service is our highest priority which brings many of our customers to recommend us to their friends and neighbors.

All of our installers are prompt, clean and professional. They pay attention to detail and leave your house as neat as when they arrived.

Typically, we’ll arrive at your location within a one hour appointment window  and make sure we have everything needed to get the job done with as little disturbance to you as possible. Our window covering installation experts will have all the information from the design consultant so that he can install the products as ordered.

How Long Do Installations Take?

The time needed for each installation varies with the quantity and perplexity of the product being installed. . It actually depends on a few different factors. One of the factors that will affect the installation time is the number of window coverings being installed. The installation time will definitely be different installing two window coverings versus twelve. The location of the installation also affects how long the project could take. If ladders are required, or some other kind of window location, a longer setup time may be required. And, the age of the home or workplace can also affect the time. If you have an older home it may be difficult to anchor the window coverings properly. Even new homes can offer some difficulty depending on the structural materials.

Most installations are done in less than 4 hours and rarely do the go into a second day. The Yardstick will send two installers to larger jobs.

Do We Install Products that Have Not Been Purchased from The Yardstick?

The Yardstick only installs products purchased from the business itself, but exceptions can be made in particular situations. We take pride in the fact that we only offer the best window covering products available in the market. If we install low-quality products it may hinder the look and feel of a home or workplace, and it won’t be as durable as the higher-quality products.

Occasionally, a customer may have something they need installed and we will accommodate that if other windows are covered by products purchased from The Yardstick.

What Our Customers are Saying

  Motorized shades are far more complex to install than I realized in 2013 when my system of 29 recessed somfy – powered shades was inadequately installed by another company (National Blinds of SF).

Moreover Yardstick prices are very fair (I checked around the bay area), and their know-how is excellent.
